02 / Behind the mark

A filmmaker.
A collaborator.
A curious human.

I'm Kevin Viol. I produce, shoot and edit stories that give people something to connect with.

My background moves between commercial production, nonprofit storytelling and independent filmmaking. I've edited at Richter Studios and Flying House Media, with work spanning brands including Disney, Uber, Twitter, Wilson and Radio Flyer.

As an actor, musician and on-camera host, I think about performance, pacing and sound as much as the image. Whether I'm finding a story in a workshop or building an edit from a hard drive of footage, I bring that same attention to the people and details that make it matter.

Cue Mark Film is my independent creative practice: a direct collaboration from the first idea to the finished piece. Based in Wisconsin, I work remotely and travel for production.

In film projection, a cue mark signaled the moment to change reels. For me, it's a reminder that a small moment can move a story forward.
